Another day, another T-shirt review. That’s just the way the cookie’s been crumbling these past few weeks. Hopefully, you’re already aware that we’ve dedicated the past couple of months to trying out and reviewing T-shirt after T-shirt across various brands to find out what is the most perfect tee on the planet.
It seems like every brand says they have the best men’s T-shirt. But, in a sea full of “bests,” it’s hard actually to know what really is the best. The word becomes so diluted that nowadays, “best” really just means “average.”
Therefore, we’ve collected some of the world’s most awesome T-shirts and have rated them using four different categories to find out where each tee really stands true as the best.

With that said, ratings will be set on a scale between 1 and 5 to depict each tee’s qualities accurately.
We’ve already reviewed Everlane’s Premium-Weight Relaxed Crew as well as J.Crew’s Slim Washed Jersey Pocket Tee within the past couple of weeks, so what’s next?
None other than the Cuts Clothing Crew Curve-Hem. These t-shirts have a cult following thanks to their buttery soft fabric. Lots of brands use words like “buttery,” but Cuts earns that adjective. On top of that, these shirts are practically indestructible. Even after a dozen trips through the washing machine, they’re just as soft and fresh as the first time you wore them.
Basically, we’re obsessed with these t-shirts, and think you will be too.

You know those guys that say, “I’m not like the other guys,” but it sort of makes you cringe? Well, this T-shirt isn’t like the other T-shirts, but trust us, it’s not cringe-worthy in the slightest.
This is one of the most modern-looking tees you can purchase in 2021. It’s made with custom-engineered PYCA® Pro fabric ideal for work and play, is entirely wrinkle-free, and uses a four-way stretch for total moveability.

Cuts Clothing describes their Crew Curve-Hem tee as “buttery soft,” and as owners of this T-shirt, we can’t explain it any better than that. It’s constructed with a super-thin PYCA® Pro fabric that’s made with 62% polyester, 33% cotton and 5% spandex to prove itself as the softest tee you’ve ever draped on your body.
This T-shirt isn’t heavy at all and instead chooses a very lightweight approach. This might make some of you reconsider, but hold off for a second. Some dudes with a bigger build might anticipate bunching, pulling and hugging when it comes to lighter weight tees, but that’s not the case whatsoever with Cuts. Instead, they make sure that each tee is pre-shrunk, stretchy and cut properly to make guys with all body types feel comfortable.
Because the tee is cut with a curved hem, it’s less likely that the tee will bunch up and sit on your waist awkwardly. This means you can go throughout your day without having to fix your shirt, again and again, to keep cozy.
Soft as hell, stretchy and non-bunching? An easy 5 out of 5 T-shirts from us.
Versatility

You know damn well that the Cuts Clothing Crew Curve-Hem is versatile. Like, just look at it.
This is, hands down, one of the most versatile T-shirts we’ve ever seen. Point blank, period. It’s ideal for wearing by itself in the summer, works excellently with layering and can even manage to look semi-formal in many situations. Throw it on top of your most comfortable jeans in the spring, and add your best sweatshirt for fall. Easy peasy.
Colors are definitely on the muted side of life, which means you’ll look good without standing out from the crowd too much. It’s the perfect shirt to wear when you want a compliment, but you don’t want eyes from everyone walking past you down the street. Although it’s made with a lighter-weight material, the pre-shrunk nature of this tee allows for most body types to fit right in. Sizes are available from S to XXL to fit folks from all walks of life.
This is also one of the best T-shirts to travel with. Why? Because it’s completely wrinkle-free. Yeah, you read that right. Simply pack this puppy into your carry-on, take it out when it’s time to wear, and you’re ready to go. Hell, you can even crumple-throw it in your suitcase; it will still maintain that sleek post-iron look trip after trip.
No matter what you’ve got going on, this T-shirt can find its way to incorporate itself — easy 5 out of 5 T-shirts.
Affordability

Here is where Cuts Clothing kind of loses us.
We know, we know, better-constructed items will cost more money. We get it. With a pre-shrunk size, wrinkle-free construction, soft buttery consistency, and color and fit retention, we understand why this T-shirt costs $50.
But, do we like that it costs $50? No, of course not.
We usually max out at $25 for a solid-colored T-shirt, but given that Cuts has really changed the game with the design here, it has us willing to spend half of $100 on one tee.
That said, we think 3.5 out of 5 T-shirts is a worthy rating. Typically, we’d rate a $50 T-shirt lower, but we can somewhat understand Cuts’ pricing choice.
Durability

There’s no way to put into words just how impressive the Cuts Clothing Crew Curve-Hem is in terms of its durability. You might be thinking: in a lightweight tee? Yeah, in a lightweight tee.
Lightweight tees are known to shrink in the wash, but as we mentioned, this T-shirt is pre-shrunk to diminish all shrinkage post-wear. So, no more throwing your T-shirts out after washing anymore, folks. Color and size stay top-notch wear after wear after wear, and you can bet your bottom dollar that you’ll never see this baby pill.
Our site director Tim Werth has had this shirt for months at this point and calls it practically indestructible. So much so that he calls the shirt “magic.”
With that said, we have to rate the Crew Curve-Hem 5 out of 5 T-shirts. Any lower rating would simply be wrong.

The Cuts Clothing Crew Curve-Hem is a surefire must-own. Yeah, it’s $50, and that will be a drawback for tons of folks looking to replenish their T-shirt collection, but this is a sacrifice you’re going to have to make.
This will become one of those T-shirts you have for years and years and years before you finally need to toss it to the curb. It’s constructed to be one of the best in the business and looks genuinely handsome on all body types.
But is Cuts Clothing’s Crew Curve-Hem the world’s best tee? It comes pretty dang close. With 4.6 out of 5 T-shirts, this is a solid runner-up. And, yeah, you absolutely need to try it out for yourself.
